How old are you? 16

 

Where did you live before you came to Decatur? Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

 

Why did you come to Texas? My dad found promising work here so we decided to move to America. He is a project manager at NRS.

 

How long have you lived in America? How long have you lived in Texas? I came when there were 3 or 4 weeks left of summer.

 

Have you ever been to America before you moved here? I visit my grandparents every couple of years in America.

 

What is your favorite food in Texas? The restaurant Whataburger

 

What is your biggest misconception about Texas? Accents and cowboy hats

 

What’s one of your adjustments? What is something you had to leave behind? I haven’t had to make new friends for three years so my friend-making skills have deteriorated a little bit. I was extremely close to the friends that I had; they were like a second family to me. I had to leave a big part of me behind. It’s been really hard.

 

What is your favorite class so far? Baseball

 

Who are your closest friends here? Will Davis, Michael Hicks, Jimmy Amos

 

Have you joined any sports or any extracurriculars? How is it different from where you came from? Baseball class. The baseball team is pretty small in Australia (“ABL”) It’s probably as good as the double A team in America.

 

What is different between America and where you came from? Australia doesn’t have free refills.

 

What do you do for fun? I’m a gamer. -Legal Legends- favorite game.
