Why did you come to Texas/America? When I first got out of Cuba I went to Mexico like an escape out of the oppression but the violence rose so we left and came here.

How long have you lived in America/Texas? Almost 5 years

Where did you live before you came to Decatur? El Paso

How is it different from Cuba? It was really dry and the prices of things change and the way people talk and how they treat each other and I guess the culture.

What is your biggest misconception about Texas? I was expecting everyone to be very cowboy like. I was expecting to see lots of people riding around on horses.

What is you favorite food here? Pizza!

What is your favorite food in Cuba? White rice, steak and black beans

Have there been any surprises? No

What have you adjusted to while being here? Language and weather.

What is something you had to leave behind? My family. I lived with my aunt and my grandparents so when I left my aunts stayed there and my grandparents brought me to my mom.

What is your favorite class so far? Government

Who are your closest friends here? Angelina Anguish and Jennifer Tapia

Have you joined any sports or extracurricular activities? Flamenco

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I have been dancing since I was five and I have been performing on TV and in the theatre for a long time. I like to practice my dance skills and listen to music.
