New banners hang in the hallway of the Ag building, after Decatur FFA’s success at the Area LDE Contest held in Prosper.
At the competition, FFA teams competed for area title and the opportunity to advance to State. Decatur was represented at area by seven teams, with three placing in the top five. Teams ranking in the top included the Radio team placing fourth, Public Relations in fifth, and Quiz in first.
“I was really excited,” senior Brittney Hubbard said after learning she was advancing to state. “We’re gonna have to kick it into gear.”
The Quiz team consisting of Shelbie Chandler, Hannah Hubbard, Brittney Hubbard and Michaela Cross will compete for the state title Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the Sam Houston University in Huntsville.
