Oftentimes, when tragedy strikes, a group of people band together to help support the
recovery. Today worldwide devastation occurs everyday, and yet even in these crazy times we
look around to see the good in peoples’ hearts. As of March 21, many of the TV dramas
involving hospital sets began donating medical supplies to help fight COVID-19.
Many popular shows such as ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Good Doctor’ donated the medical
supplies commonly used during episodes. These include gloves, masks, hazmat suits, scrubs and
many more ‘props’ from the show.
The kindness seen in others uplifts and restores, in some ways it restores faith in
humanity. Even though these occurrences happen rarely it helps to see kindness in a time of
global devastation. It proves that our general nature to nurture triumphs over the constant threat
of violence and despair.
